I come here looking for advice, but then spent a good 30 mins looking at some of the macro shots, some brilliant stuff in there.
I'm after a new digital camera, nothing flash, but I'd like something a bit better than I had before.
Looking to spend a max of £200, can't really justify much more, the last died in the skiing accident with me holding it trying to do some ski sunday style vid (and failing), the one before was sat on.
I've always just bought Cannon stuff, ixus etc, but I was wondering if I should look else where. Doesn't have to be compact really, but I geuss that's what i'll be looking at.
What should I be looking for? Always had issues taking pics even when it's slightly dark, that may just be me being crap and not really having the right gear.
Just want an all round thing really, would be nice if it could do a few fancy/pointless effects etc.
