Depends what you want - have you done much research into the types/options available?

Huge thread, all option explored:

http://photography-on-the.net/forum/showthread.php...

I build one, it cost me about £400 all told but I bought the best kit and imported the avenger suction cups, when you can actually get them from here:

I hope that helped.

I thought it might wink

You should post up a picture of it as I don't have one with all the pole sections.

thanks guys...£400 is quite pricey though. am i better off buying or making one do you think? because this one http://www.cameragrip.co.uk/acatalog/hague_sm11_ca... looks very similar to your one Muska but a fair bit cheaper.

Ian - that location looks familiar....pinkneys green by any chance tongue out the red and yellow Sagaris on my website is shot in that same place.

4Lmike if I was to make mine again I would cost it around the £300 mark top line. I wouldn't import the suction cups again!

Looking at that rig I'd say to watch the weight limit, it's only 2kg, I know I'd be damn close to that limit with my camera & lens.

My God that looks good. Not sure I would be brave enough to dangle my SLR on the end of a pole, but it says a lot for the suction cups.

Edited to get the correct pic.

What are you guys using for poles? I have the avengers and super clamps and magic arm but I tried using a decorating pole and it wasn't up to the job.

I had one of those B hauge ones, Waste of time.

Couldn't get far enough away from the car and a propper PITA to shop out.

If i was to do it again i'd build one like muska's.
