Had one of my pictures published in the local paper

Nothing to amazing, just a car fire that happened behind me last night, still better than nothing ...
Fortunately I had my camera with me.

Taken on my D300, whacked the iso up to 800, handheld at 1/4 sec, so I'm quite pleased.

Well done Martin. Always a nice feeling no matter what the subject matter.

At least you got credit for yours. I took one a few months back of a friend outside of his business premises with few cars, for his website etc.. He had an interview with our local rag and he said they could use the picture I had taken providing they put my name to it.. they didn't, pretty annoyed really.

Thanks for the info. Always good to hear how people manage to get the pictures, especially as I once spent 40 minutes outside trying to get a picture of the moon. 1:30 in the morning trying to get it to accept the remote bulb setting. In the end I have up.
