Where to buy huge paper??

Im trying to set up a minature studio and need A1 or A0 paper, both white and black. Does anyone know where I can buy this? preferably an actual store as opposed to online.

White should not be a problem though A0 size may be something that most commonly comes on a roll of the appropriate width. Try Staples (as a national chain) or maybe a larger WH Smith in their art and graphics section if they still have one. I think flip chart pads are something like A1 put I'm not sure how 'white' the white would be for a flip chart )not, indeed for any other whites.....

Black might be more challenging. A specialist artists supplier might be the best bet.

There are also specialist photographic suppliers - or there used to be. That said I suspect that was always a specialised mail order supply chain outside the major cities.

You might also look for companies specialising in design office supplies. They may not have a shop such but could possibly have 'showroom' facilities from which they will supply small orders on a retail basis.

thanks LongQ, Ive managed to track down a friend who can supply me with the white. i guess ill try an art shop for the black.

Befriend someone who works in the paper trade - paper mill /

From a friend I managed to get end of roll of precut white A0 paper (probably just under a 1M wide) but it must be about 500M left on the roll. Ideal for making up little dropped backgrounds.

Take off what I want, cut it to length and then bin it when finished with it.

I got a big roll of white paper from a friendly local printer.

use catering rolls from Costco etc. Might have to adjust very slightly for white balance but it's about 1.5m wide and very very long (but no puppy advertising it )
