Not a bad first attempt, could possibly benefit from dropping the shutter speed, but that will come with practise. Also, in PP you've overdone the saturation, the green is pretty dodgy in a few of those shots.

Thanks for the advice. I used a slower shutter speed for 0232, but it was the last lap so couldn't get any more.

Looks like a decent set (sorry - that's not hugely constructive!).

I was there on Saturday morning doing the driving for 40 mins (I assume you didn't get a go in one of the cars...?) and my fiancee was snapping away with her new DSLR and my new 70-300mm lens. Lots of blurred images while she got used to macro shooting for the first time, but she got a few pretty decent ones too.

I loved the driving experience (present from the OH), but was quite envious that I didn't get to have a go at the photography myself! My only motorsport photography was trying to take pics with a compact at Le Mans last year - only got the DSLR last month.

My dad was doing it (hence why all the pics are the same car). He enjoyed it!

I was a bit limited to space. I only had the balcony above the pits, but it's still a decent viewing area.

Funnily enough I was thinking that was the best one!

You definitely want to try and work your way down to a slower shutter - maybe try to get as low as 1/50th or thereabouts. Also maybe try and get in a wee bit tighter, assuming you have any zoom left of course
