Unwanted Reflection - Fireworks

I went out and photographed some fireworks yesterday night. Trouble is most photos have quite bad reflections of the fireworks in them. What could I have done to stop this?

Really like number 2. Did you have any filters on the lens?

Just the normal UV, could this have been the cause?

Take it off permanently, unless you are shooting rally cars at close range (where it will help offer some protection from flying debris) it really gives you nothing, except as you've found for some unwanted side effects.

So it's not caused by reflection between the rear element of the lens and the glass covering the sensor?
