Photoshop Question

I'm struggling to comply with the subjects wishes and remove the scar from a set of varied pictures. Please no judgmental or flippant comments.

I've tried a number of different approaches but I'm not finding an effective way to edit the scar out or at least reduce its presence. I have LR 2 and PSE 8. Can anyone explain how i can do it it please?

Not sure about the options in pse Ian, but if you email the photo to me I'll brush if out. The clone tool is the one to use, just not sure if that's an option in pse. I would look into it, but on the iPhone.

Thanks but as there's about 75 to do I just need to know how! I'm reasonably competent so tried cloning but the varying quantity of hair makes it fiddly and very labour intensive. Then I tried locally reducing red and / or saturation, skin smoothing and other approaches. I'm looking for the killer tip really or its gonna be a long time editing!

Some of it depends on what you're doing with the stray hairs, that said it should clone easy enough

hoping to keep the hair really. removing them makes it look too clean. is there a way to get the cone to only apply to skin tones?

Using “scratch removal” tool set at a very wide width 112. Starting at the middle and working left then right. Sure PS has a similar scratch removal tool though?

goiter removal, shame didn't know before hand that worried about it as nice necklace would cover that a treat (mother had same), healing brush tool on PSE will do the trick if a little fiddly with the stray hair

Wasnt a goitre, anyway pse healing brush isnt doing it for me

sorry should've been a ? on end of removal, anyway same result.
Had a little play, if you try:
-duplicate layer; on this layer use magic wand to select and delete neck completely (leaving the hair as is)
-heal brush the neck on original layer and then put duplicate layer on top to replace any hair loss due to healing, guess depends how large printing the pics as to how noticeable the result is.

Thanks everyone; hours later and its all done; layers, healing brush and portraiture! Decide to not remove it completely, its part of who she is but blend it.

ETA she's a stunning, beautiful woman! I love my 2nd job! Shame I can't post up pics from the shoot!
