Where would you go to get the best offer on a package?

Evening All,

If things go according to plan, I will hopefully be in the market for upgrading a bunch of my kit in the new year.

Current thinking is that I'm going to go for a Canon 7D, 24-70 f2.8 L and 70-200 f2.8 L IS MkII

Looking on camerapricebuster.co.uk, by buying the cheapest option of each, I could get them all for £3,596. This is from three separate companies though. Does anyone have any thoughts on where I might be able to get a better offer for buying them all as a bundle?

You do know vat is going up 2.5% in Jan?!

I'd email each company, list the kit you want, ask for price match and play them off. Alternatively, book an easyjet trip to Gib have a w/e in the sun and get it all tax free; silly prices if you barter!

I do indeed, but I have a rule not to spend commission before I've got it in the bank, just in case it gets delayed.

I'll probably keep my current body (450D), but would be offloading a Tamron 28-75mm f2.8 in perfect condition, a Sigma 70-200mm f2.8 with a bit of a bash to the filter ring (which doesn't affect shot quality at all) and a 2x Sigma teleconverter also in perfect condition.

Dead right - trip down to http://www.bhphotovideo.com/ (note: Hasidic, so closed Saturday) and have a flight and hotel on the savings you'll make. Once you get in there you'll be tempted to buy more kit though

$4,949 on that website converts by my reckoning to £3,240 at typical credit card rates. I'm not completely convinced I'd get a flight and hotel for £250-odd, and that's before the hassle if anything goes wrong, so I think I'll stick to the UK!

I haven't checked prices but http://www.warehouseexpress.com/Home/default.aspx are often (though not always) very well priced (and ultra well behaved!)
