Just had a phone call...

...saying that I've come runner up in one of the RNLI's photograph competitions.

Quite happy although I don't know if the picture will actually be published or not.

This was the pic I entered (posted on here before) minus the watermark in the corner.

Remember seeing your shot before, don't recall if I commented. It's a striking pic, prob only needed a backlit RNLI pennant (or sinking oil tanker) to have done even better. Runner up's still better than I've achieved with any of my entries recently

(tried rewriting this several times so it doesn't sound scathing or bitter but still not sure I've got it. It's meant in a constructive and ultimately congratulatory tone)

I think what you mean is that no obvious sign of what they're doing; the story isn't complete.

However it's a ripe target for PH Shoppers to add a few things... brace yourself OP....

I like that the story is "not complete" i.e. going into the unknown imho...now where is that novelty nude santa for the horizon....
