My mate has just started doing stand-up comedy and he needed a mugshot for the website and being projected up behind him while he's on stage.
Last night he came round and we took a few shots.

This was my first time properly photographing someone other than myself. Armed with nothing more fancy than a nifty fifty, some industrial spot lights and photoshop I got this shot...



My creative juices were flowing last night, and I ended up making this for him too.

Think the shot looks good at this size, liking the PP and seems appropriate for the subject/ usage. Only reservation would be whether DoF is sufficient once it's blown up large as this has a habit of emphasising differential focus - should really have secured both eyes in focus. DVD cover works effectively too imo.

I would never have thought about that, but its certainly something i'll keep in mind. I'm looking forward to seeing it in a larger format now.
