Nanny/Cleaner cams - any experience/advice?

Looking for camera so can record when cleaners start/finish. So want something that can record when someone enters/leaves hallway and timestamps it.

Have had a quick look on Ebay, but wondered if anyone had any suggestions/recommendations?

Must be simple to use!

Have used the arm/disarm log on the burglar alarm to catch people out who've been charging me by the hour and ripping me off in the past.

Covertly filming people in private is a can of worms ethically and legally.
