Nikon D7000 - Approved Memory Cards

A quick heads-up.
The following links below have a list of all the tested and approved memory cards for the Nikon D7000.
You will notice Kingston is absent from the list. *They also don't work with Phase One cameras 100% of the time.
The camera uses SD, SDHC, and SDXC memory cards. Memory cards with an SD Speed Class rating of 6 or faster are recommended for recording movies. Movie recording may stop unexpectedly when memory cards with lower Speed Class rating are used.

Have to say I don't think that's incredibly useful! Sandisk for example do several different memory cards. The main issue with the D7000 (speaking as a new owner) is the buffer especially when shooting RAW....I am waiting for delivery of the new Sandisk Extreme Pro SDHC cards I have ordered which are something called UHS-1 compliant (as is the D7000) which should make the buffer much less of an issue. They're Class 12 and do their thing at 45MB/S

I agree that that Nikon should have given a lot more information than they did, but better than nothing.Adz The Rat said:

I was taking pictures of my son running around on the garden at the weekend.....10 shots on RAW and the camera seizes up. Hopefully when my new cards arrive it'll be loads better. Only really an issue if you shoot RAW and do action/sports photography.
My Sandisk Extreme Pro SDHC cars arrived today and what a difference to the Class 4 card I was using...just did a little test. With the Class 4 card if I shoot RAW to fill the buffer it takes 37 seconds for the buffer to clear completely and for the first few seconds and you can't take any more shots. With the new cards the buffer clears in 12 seconds and you can take three or four shots within a couple of seconds of the buffer filling. Quite a difference.

Seriously though I don't think you can be shooting that many shots continuosly otherwise I am sure you would hot the buffer limit
