Cheap eBay filters

I'm thinking of trying some long exposure stuff, therefore don't want to pay £50+. I know, you get what you pay for, but do they do the job?

ND2 1 stop
ND4 2 stops
ND8 3 stops

If your going to stack them you’re likely to get loads of vignetting. For a couple more pounds you could get a quality B&W 10 stopper.

No. Tried one just out of interest - rubbish.

Ive used cheap filters in the past and found they changed the colour, i.e. it would give a purple tinge to the shots. But at the end of the day you pay for what you get

£4 a stop, not bad. Pity it doesn't work the other way - filters that make the image brighter...

have a look into using welding glass for photography, for £5 you could make a fun little filter that stops a lot of light
