So, there are me and my younger brother filming a short action scene for a bit of fun, we have so far made 3 and they aren't too bad (I shall link below). So basically its just me and him and we have a Cannon 550D to film with, a tripod and a mattress for falling on, we've been filming for an hour ish and used the prop gun (which doesn't even have a magazine) for around 15-20 minutes and my brother pretends to fire 5/6 shots into my chest whilst I am walking at him (he is the director and he has this obsession with superhero's/villains) and in the final cut all the muzzle flares and sounds + animation of the blowback will be edited in, as will the bullets bouncing off my chest.
Anyway we are finishing the last bit where the gun is needed where I kick it out of his hands and we get raided! a S.W.A.T. van turns up and 3 normal police cars, blue lights, sirens the whole lot! Practically shat ourselves, there was about 12 of them all together and they confiscated out prop which was not cheap, all because some pillock thought it was real, this plank has wasted all of their time, our time and got our prop confiscated because they are stupid, the police even sai there was a chopper on its way that they obviously called off.
Apparently next time we film anything with guns in we will have to ring the police to tell them where, when and why we are filming and exactly what props we are using and have signs up saying 'filming in progress' and have 4 people just to tell people what the signs already tell them.......how pathetic!
I'm not upset with the police, they were cool and were just doing their jobs and were very nice about the whole thing and they advised us on what to do next time, in fact one of them even said he thought it was ridiculous that they had been called and that they had to confiscate the gun, its the total spesh that called 999 that has annoyed me, the camera was like 10 feet away from us it isn't hard to put 2 and 2 together. Anyway we know what to do next time so lesson learned.

Hope you enjoyed them, any criticism etc is taken onboard, these 3 vids are the first time we've used final cut and after effects so dont be too harsh
the police liked the 2nd 
we said we had used the location before and they were intrigued and asked if they could see it haha.

I had a similar experience whilst at uni. Sat doing what students do, when armed response unit came barrelling into the back yard. Someone had reported seeing a youth chasing another youth waving a "gun" about. The "gun" was a 99p water pistol. The look on the lead officers face when he came storming through back door to see my house mate reloading his weapon from the tap was superb.
Scared the hell out of me though I have to say.
And to the lad in the film - pull your bloody trousers up.

Quite enjoyed the second one, actually felt the tension.
Fist one was okay, but the second was by far the most realistic IMO.
Not a bad attempt though. Though about making a music video for a local band? will need properly analysing before you can cut anything together though.

Have you tried approaching your local airsoft site and seeing if they'll be interested in helping you? You'll have a bunch of guys in various uniforms with a nice array of replica guns. The variety may be difficult to tie into a storyline, but if you find an organised team where they all have the same uniform and similar weapons you could achieve some great results judging by the vids you've put up.

That was pretty good for amateurs. Much better than the only thing I've been involved in.

If it makes you feel any better I phoned the local police station at 2am once as someone was shooting an air piston in the street and I was mostly concerned for my sleep and also the cars as it had gone on for about an hour, so I asked if they could send a patrol car by just to scare off what I presumed was some local youth. Within 20 mins the entrire street was filled with SWAT type blokes running up and down the street all armed AND there was a TV crew filming, I watched in horror as the whole thing was filmed in front of my car as they confiscated my neighbours incredibly expensive air rifle
