First attempt at Motorsport

Bought my first dSLR 18 months ago but never got round to learning how to use it properly until the start of the winter, mostly been taking landscapes/seascapes so far over the winter months and am starting to get results I'm happy with.

I've wanted to shoot some motorsport for a while now and with the Prescott Bike festival being local to me over the weekend, I decided to pop over to see what I could get. I knew I wasn't going to get my panning technique right on my first attempt, but by the end of the day I felt I was getting some passable photos.

These are the ones I was happy with, I'm still learning photoshop so most are straight out the camera, a couple have been tweaked for levels, C&C most welcome;

Like the pic with the s1000

Nice set Kieran, you have got the blur just right on No 2 & 3 with the backgound and wheels and sharp focus on the rider and front of the bike

Only two of those are panning shots from what I can see, but they look great.

Thanks, I'm very happy with 2 and 3, unfortunately had many, many others that just weren't 'quite' there. I'm hoping my success rate will improve with practice
