Youtube HD suitable camera

Hi,
I need to buy a camera for producing some videos to go on youtube at their HD quality (720P). The camera needs to be reasonably affordable and in an ideal world would also be a good stills camera (making videos will be fairly infrequent, so I can justify the cost more if it does both well).
I'd be very grateful for any recommendations, as I really don't know where to start or how much i'd need to spend.

We really need some idea on budget although I'd make a personal recommendation for a Red camera.

The iPhone can upload direct to YouTube (in HD over Wifi).. Just a thought. I was very impressed with the iPhones HD Video.

Go Pro HD Hero. Absolute no brainer.

Youtube their videos, perfect for under water, auto sport, skiing, sky diving etc.

Sound quality isn't great when you have the waterproof case though, which can be expected

Thanks for the replies, I did some more surfing, looked at some youtube reviews and have a few possibles lined up. In the meantime I have ordered a Creative Vado HD to start off with as it was stupidly cheap (£40) and the videos I've seen it take seem quite remarkable for what it is, it will at least let me test out the viability of what I want to do before spending much more money, so seemed well worth a try.

I use a Hitachi HDC-1296e or something like that, which i got for £100 at Argos last year, and it does 720p, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LmLT6okXd14 and picks up sound rather quite well...unfortunately that includes wind noise

Not all...but as many as i can remember to do it to, i must admit, i did get the idea off a fellow PH'er and Photographer Alex Penfold
