old film cameras - valuing / selling?

Decided I need to stop being so sentimental about all the old camera's, so thought I'd try and get something (anything!) toward the new lens from them - just wondering what the best way to get a true value on them? I have been to a couple of local camera shops but ant to be sure I'm not letting anything 'worthwhile' slip away.


Halina Anastigmat 35X with case - generally good condition, but lens a little gummy at one end.

Edixa Primsat TTL with tatty case and F2.8 50mm - Body ok, not great condition, lens looks good though aged.

Zorki 4k with case and F2 50mm - all in excellent condition

Contax 137 MA Quartz body (works fine but a bit age worn!), no case, with Tamron 28-50mm F3.5 - 4.5, a Makinon F2.8 24mm and a contax TLA20 flash, all in good nick.

Stitz light meter - was my dads, ancient, works though!

Thoughts?

Take nice photos of them, write a nice advert and stick them on eBay as separate lots. With a global audience you know you'll get the best price available at the time (less 15% but still far better than a dealer).

If you get offered more than £50 for the lot I'd grab it.

^This. I watched a few old camera auctions, and as long as you have a lens on the camera it will sell for a few quid.

(Would love the lightmeter if you happen to want to give it away Got an old Praktina that I want to run a film through this summer and I need something.)

Funnily enough the old Zorki which has the Leica thread has something of a following but still not particularly valuable. The Contax should be worth a few quid shame it's not in great order and that it doesn't have the Zeiss lens though.

Got offered £150 as trade in for the lot! I think basically theyre after the contax gear, and making a token offer on the rest. Wasn't sure if the contax was one of the more valuable or not as I've seen some of them get decent money. Just waiting to hear on a price for the lens now. Tinman I'll check if they really want the lightmeter in that deal, if not you're welcome to it!

£ 150 seems great to me. Contax customers tend to prefer mint kit so if its not in good order grab the deal.
