Mach Loop 4th May 2011

Finally had a hour or so to go through my photos from Wednesdays trip down to Wales.

Didn't see a thing from when I got there at 1030 until about 1600 then there was a Tornado which did two passes followed by a pair of F15's which again did two nice passes for us. The others lads there said they'd never seen an F15 go so low through the Bwlch.

Just a shame no afterburners but you can't have it all !

Canon 70-200f2.8 non-IS. Hankering after a 300f2.8 though .

Im pretty sure the co-(?)pilot in shot 7 (close up of the cockpit) is looking right at you.. At least it looks like he (or she!) is anyway and thats good enough for me...

The pilots and co-pilots/navigators/weapons/whatever all know where the photography spots are on the loop. Such as the following where you can clearly see the pilot waving.

It's just a shortened way of saying Tornado I guess. Typhoons are called Tiffys or Phoons. great shots. I was around the corner on Cad West.
