Hi

My tacho on the S2 has died over the past couple hundred miles, firstly went mad & span round all over the place, now its just pretty much dead.

ive checked that there is a signal and power/earth so it must be the dial and after already trying 1 used tacho that didnt work (think it was from an S1) i need to find one quick

Any ideas ?

I assume TVR dont supply anymore (like the speedo's)

Thanks very much
Giles

Ive used Speedy Cables before, and although there work was good, it did take about 2 months to turn it round and i dont want to be without the car for that long (cant run with tacho removed)

Any other ideas
Cheers

You just need to bypass the tacho. The ignition circuits are powered from the tacho (which counts the current pulses). IIRC the red ignition wire goes directly to the white +ve supply to the ignition.

Hi

So if i loop a wire from the red (power) to the white(tacho feed) then all will run fine ? and i ignore the earth cable

Does it need to be fused ?

Thanks very much

Tacho and ignition circuits are already fused. You can just bridge the wires.
