Afternoon,
After taking delivary of my new front inner wheel arches, I decided to brave the rain and get on with fitting them. All was going far too smoothly when I had got holes all drilled and fixed them to the bonnet.
At first the drivers side was slightly voiding on the brake pipes coming off the master cylinder. Fixed this with a bit of gentle bending. However, once the bonnet was right down, I think they are slightly voiding on something on the passenger side, possibly the rear part of the wheel arch.
Long story short, I gave the bonnet a shove, it closed properly, and now it won't open again
Pulling the bonnet release is popping the drivers side but the passenger side won't budge, despite lots of lever pulling while trying to push/pull/shove/ease the bonnet forwards, backwards and side to side. Did an advanced search for bonnet release but can't find many other ideas.
Options:
1) Undo bonnet catches from the footwell. I think I've located the 1/2 inch bolts - but one won't budge with a socket set and the other has come out a bit but appears to be just spinning round and not undoing any further. I've got a pic which I'll upload tomorrow when I have my camera lead
2) Take wheel off and try to remove newly fixed on inner wheel arch with bonnet shut in the hope that it releases from whatever it's touching and allows the bonnet to open.
Thoughts? Not really sure if I'm undoing the right bolts under the footwell. But they are directly above the side indicator repeater and one of them has the fuse box bracket hung off it. Has anyone removed these in the past?
Ideas most welcome. I need a beer!

won't budge!Been there done that, bought the tee shirt.
Get a length of flex, tie to the end of the bonnet release handle, pull back as far as possible, wrap flex around steern wheel rim so catches held open. get someone to hold bonnet up a little on the side that can open(but only just high enough for the pin to clear the catch).
Then pull/push/shake the otherside of the bonnet to get the pin to release. It will eventually.
Worst case senario remove wheel and arches, get a spanner either 15 or 17mm on the nut that retains the locking pin, above the bracket below

if memory serves yes one of the boonet retaining catches is bolted via fuse box
If all else fails unbolt ctch from within car. Drop me a PM and I'll send my bonnet adjustment notes.
