Rear brake regulator bracket..?

Hello

You know think thing on the bulkhead above the master cylinder.. my bracket is scabby and beyond restoration.. does anyone make a SS version of this part or know who has new ones available..?

Co-er good question I dont think either are available but I would love a SS one, I think I can feel a project coming on.................but does anyone have a reasonable one to act as a sample. I think if I took mine off the car it would fall apart!!

I made one from a cast alloy joist bracket I got from a builders merchant. After a bit of cutting, drilling & polishing it worked a treat. It's just a bit of bent metal with some holes in it. Getting at the at the rusted bolts & nuts under the bulkhead was the difficult bit.

So there's at least two different styles of regulator, my one doesn't look anything like that. I'd guess different mounting brackets would be needed.

Yep 2 types - earlier and later to correspond with the earlier and later sierra brake valves.

It's my original with a coat of paint. I will measure it up and do a CAD drawing when I get a chance, later this week.

is the "wiggle" not just the way the unit is locked into the bracket ?

Ah mine is the wiggle type.. I believe the lower part doesn't go round the regularor it just rests on it wiggle just adds support to stop movement. If the regulator was inserted into both holes the wiggle wouldn't be required.

My car still in garage so can't check is the regulator in the wiggle bracket late or early?
