The reverse light switch is available from Rimmer Bros, http://www.rimmerbros.co.uk navigate your way through the SD1 Rover parts and you'll fine it. About £11 + vat last time I looked - I still haven't replaced mine.
Rear bulbholders are Ford Escort Mk4, though if its playing up it may be the black connectors.

Couldn't work out which was the correct bulbholder on ebay. I have a new connector, but it was mucking about with the bulbholder which seemed to do the trick (bent, corroded pins, etc). May be just coincidence. I wonder if the Ford dealer near me will hold stock. Haven't got the car with me today so couldn't go out and check. Now I know the reverse light/5th gear issue hasn't been resolved I'll get it looked at before attracting attention...
