Newbie windscreen

Hi I have just bought my first and i am already in love.....
I have restored and owned all sorts of old stuff and at times terrible stuff in the past including scimitar gte, mg midget, 3 x 190e's, but until recently i always wanted a tr6.
then having driven a few and seen the vfm they offer it had to be something else. Nearly bought a jensen healey and then I spotted a TVR S2 tha was just a bit interesting....i was sure i had seen it on top gear. I checked some old programmes searched a bit of you-tube and yeh, it was the one driven by captain slow.
that was it - it had to be mine.
So job 1 - replacement windscreen. First quote £650 from autoglass OUCH, but after a bit of running around, phone calls and google I got one from AWG windscreens fitted for under £180.....
and the guy really took his time to do a good job.
Next - a full service and sort out some bonnet hinges!

Hi. Your car was at one time owned by a chap called Ken who regularly posted on here and sometimes drops in to add some helpful advice (you might be able to get some history from him). S club heaven are meeting shortly and it would be good if you came along and met the guys, they are a good bunch. Look at link at top of section.

next challenge - exhaust. not sure where to start, but a new system is tempting - perhaps with a sump-guard over it!
Current system a bit rough looking but has a lot of rattles...
and then there's the seat leather
oh and a few gel-coat cracks -

Nice to see another Tiv convert.
As mentioned above, there is the annual meet for S-cars at the end of June try to get there ...the Welsh boader is a nice run in an S (similar to the top gear trip it took).
I note you are also in the flat-lands of Anglia - If you are getting any garage work done on your service, I find that Scole Engineering near Diss are familiar with our motors. - Or if you fancy a run out, I think we can organise with one or two others I know around here.

ok i will bear tha in mind. i am in 'payback' at the moment with diy chores for about 3 weeks but plan to go to the hemblington? thing. i joined the club and now have membership card!

i do like to do my own work where i can.....i started life in engineering and cant stop myself..

Here is the original posts about the episode of top gear. You will note our concern that they would give the car a bad write up and distroy it. But they actually seemed to take some care over her.
