Locking Filler Cap - TVR S3
Discussion
Does anyone know of a way the fuel filler cap on a TVR S3 can be locked or replaced with a locking filler cap?
It seems i've got a local neighbour who's been helping themselves to my fuel while i'm not about and I need to find a solution other than putting super glue on the filler and finding them stuck to the car when I come home from work
Cheers!

There is a couple of options in the S Bible if you have it.It seems i've got a local neighbour who's been helping themselves to my fuel while i'm not about and I need to find a solution other than putting super glue on the filler and finding them stuck to the car when I come home from work

It's fairly easy to put an interlock on the cap so it has to be released from inside the boot. There are also anti-siphon type devices that can be put in the filler neck to stop people putting a siphon hose down into the tank. But you have probably seen how exposed the fuel lines are. If anybody is really determined, there's nothing to stop them just cutting the hose. Or doing any number of nasty things to it. Probably the best solution is not to leave it there.
Reading the Bible this morning I really like the sound of drilling a small hole through from the boot space to prevent the catch being depress from the outside unless a pin is removed from the hole from the inside of the boot - will investigate that option a bit more!
Many thanks for the tips guys!
Must say the S is going really well now - having decided to keep it a bit longer I just had all this done to it:
MOT (passed no errors Yay!)
Engine-out service
New clutch
New coolant hosts
New stainless coolant pipes
New temp sender
New starter motor
New front brake calipers
New swirl pot
New heavy-duty alternator belt
New cockpit temp-control valve
New wiring connectors under the hood to the headlight assembly
Don't ask the cost but it was my present to me for the year (and probably next year too!)
Hope you're all doing well otherwise, and thanks again for the continued support and excellent advice!
