Hi
New S3 owner, with some historic TVR experience - but mostly the old M series when I was a boy. I have some technical questions with resepct to the 2.9 EFI system, if anyone is that much of an anorack!
The petrol temperature sensor, what is the correct resistance, and does anyone know the generic Ford part number?
Does the 2.9EFI has a thermotime valve, for cold start?
Thanks
Nic

Hi Nic
Don't know the Ford part number for the petrol temperature sensor but if you ask for one for a 2.9 Granada or Sierra that should get you the right one.
There is certainly a cold start regulator on the EFI system whether that is a thermotime or not
I don't know.
There is a parts list for the S here.

As to resistance don't know but there is quite a bit of info in the bible for testing various components of the fuel injection system. The book is well worth having and is available from the TVRCC it's the TVR S Series by Steve Heath.

The engine is pretty much lifted straight out of the Ford so the Haynes manuals for the 2.9 V6 are also useful.
You could try and do a search on the forum as there is plenty of info in there.
Oh and welcome to the club!!

I tried to find recently with no luck, they appear to be very rare!
But my research led me to believe they are not necessary in a moderate climate like the UK ?
Can you speak German?
