Hi All
Now the top wishbones are handed, I have found the lower ones are the same i.e. the O/S will fit on the N/S which brings me to my question.
Has anybody put the anti-roll bar onto the front side of the wheels, it should not make any difference to its effective operation. I ask this as I now have the engine sump below the old mountings making it not possible to fit where it was, I could mount it under the box section below where it was in the first place but would need to shorten the links by 60 mm .
Just thinking of re mounting at the front, thoughts on this

On my Vixen the ARB sits under the steering rack and the drop links attach to the rear leg of the lower wishbone from underneath. You might be able to conjure up a similar arrangement but I reckon it will take a bit of work.
I don't think you can swap the wishbones around, the unequal legs are what sets the castor angle. Might make the steering a bit lively if you did.

If you can find clearance to fit the bar (and bear in mind it has to miss the wishbone and wheels through the whole range of steering and suspension travel) I don't see any reason not to. I guess you would make up your own drop links using rod end bearings. If you're taking this route, you can either size the bearing to push over the machined end of the ARB or get a mounting block that bolts onto the outside of the thick section of the bar (I got mine from Merlin). This has the advantage of reducing the leverage on the bar so effectively stiffening the bar. It might make packaging easier or harder, but at least you have the option.

Like minds, I have just been looking at the Merlin catalogue, I have some rose joints and some mounting brackets I got a bit back so with the old clamps I will just need to fab some mounts onto the chassis.
Going down to the workshop after tea for a couple of hours so may be able to do something.
