Its a cunning plan see! Live in Portsmouth and couldn't get a decent price out of P&B/Brittany so...

Driving Thursday PM to Dover area (night in nice hotel + dinner and beer)
Across AM Dover to Calais (Sea France) and scenic route through to Falaise (hotel, dinner and beer)
Up early and fresh for the dawn raid on Le Mans and Maison B...Still not decided whether to bother with the tent at all, sleep in the car/bar/grandstand/hedge...who cares as long as the beer is there!

Found the same but bit the bullet in the end going with Brittany at just over £200, P&O were double that .

See you down there. Ruby mica red V8S leaving Friday, Pompey to Cherbourg fastcat. Camping in Rouge (to the North of the airstrip.) Lucky to get any placements as we only sorted the camping last week and they were down to 5 spots!

I envy the lucky ones who can go! I was there last year with the Scottish bunch (camped next to Harry W). Unfortunately work commitments prevent me from going this year.
The race was great, but the best thing was getting there, driving through France in a convoy of TVRs was something else.
