Hi could some one tell me what vehicle the cv joints come off for my 1990 tvr 3sc and if fitting is a staight swap cheers

Pretty sure when I did mine I just asked for sierra ones and they went straight on no problems at all, very easy job infact. Good luck

Yep they are definitely Sierra, and are a straight swap. The main problem is likely to be getting the 6 bolts out that hold the joint to the hub (or the diff flange if it's the other end) - they're likely to be rusty and might not be keen to move.

Just done mine and got the bits from J and R http://www.jandrcvjoints.co.uk/ for £20 each including boot kit. They are not listed on their web site but I sent an email and was told to order them via the helpline 0121 770 5636 and order under their part number JR27. They are Sierra Lobro units. The Ford part number is 696 2754 but my local dealer told me they were a discontinued item (good job at £114 each!).
The Torx bolts came out easily enough on mine but its worth making sure that the slots are clean and that the bit sits right down inside before applying pressure.
The first issue was that J and R only supplied 1 circlip and this was an incorrect diameter (I re-used the old ones) and the second was making sure that all the supplied grease (or at least 85g of it) could be worked into the new joints. Oh and you need a decent pair of hose clip pliers to crimp up the new clips. Total time was around 3 hours per drive shaft.
