new owner

just got a S1 E745 ELY for my brother in-law all seems ok but there is no vin plate
in the engine bay it has all mot s and history and only 2 owners so it must be ok but did
they put the vin plate in a different part of the car on the early cars

VIN number is also stamped into a raised bit on the front chassis member - well it is on the V8S - you may have to scrape crud off to see it.

thanks we found it on the chassis the car was on pistonheads the first one
blue seems ok but the oil pressure only just gets up to 50 its a bit low
but only done 65000 miles so hope it is the gauge will post photos later

According to the bible thats a very early one - speedo and rev counter the 'right way up' not upside down like later cars. Does it also have 2 seperate bonnet pulls one for each side?

yes it has 2 bonnet pulls it was one of the first 20 made
drives ok a good buy i think £3600 cant go wrong

If she still has bunny ear door mirrors you should replace. Mk1 mx5 work well one of the best mods I have made!
