Recent S convert - finally got around to getting some photos before the heavens opened.

I might have been a bit hasty thinking she was an S2 (the logon name might have to go !).

The V5 and EFI stamp under the bonnet confirm she's a 2933cc born in March 1989 - doesn't that suggest S2 ? But then no leccy windows or mirrors would suggest S1 ? V5 says 280S, insurance company say S2, receipts from TVR garages say S3 (which it is not). Any ideas on what she may be whilst I'm waiting for the Bible to be delivered ??

Regardless, she is a blast to drive. She was bought as a weekend plaything but the company car has been well and truly dumped. The wife thinks I'm having an affair because my 10 minute drive back from the office takes over an hour and I walk in grinning from ear to ear. Wicked !!!

First time trying to post a photo - if I've been a muppet, here's the link

That'll be a S1.5 then , S1 with an 2.9 engine, plenty of them about. Pic looks nice in your profile, the link below doesn't work for me in the thread though.
Another S Hants car then .

Harry
I'll try adding a link to your profile picture to see if it works

Ahhhh sounds like an S1.5

Engine in S2 is the 2.9... if S1 it would be 2.8

Mine is an S2.... and the log book says it is a 280s
All part of TVRs... nothing is simple or the same

Sorry can't see the picture

Just noticed that your the registration number of your car is 3 digits later than mine, but I'm as certain as I can be than mine is an S2.

Lovely looking car, hope to see you at the S meet in August.

S1... S1.5 ...S2 - guess TVR just used what bits were kicking around the parts bin at the time.

Would have loved to have gone to the S meet in August but out of the country from 8th till 22nd - gutted.

Been torturing myself reading the Le Mans thread also - I've always promised myself a trip there and probably should have sorted it for this year, particularly now the S has arrived. Always next year......

Lack of Crome Bumper strips and S1 wheels would seem to confirm everyones conclusion S1.5.

Although wheels can be swapped, it is likely that they are original. (added for Steve's benefit before he jumps on my back)

Cheers for the feedback Tim. She had a colour change in '94 from yellow to red (looks like Guards Red to me unless any PHers can tell me of a TVR red like this). A couple of stone chips under the front wheel arches suggest it was a pretty evil yellow beforehand !!

Cheers - saw from your profile you're a golfer - likewise. Haven't tried shoehorning the clubs in the boot yet. Think the passenger seat might be favourite.

Maybe catch up at a Sussex TVRCC meet - aren't they held at Goodwood ?

Paul - I struggled with pics at first. Bit guilty of piling in without reading instructions.

You need your pictures to be on a web server rather than your PC. I trawled previous threads (try searching for Posting Pictures) and found some good instructions - see quote from Ballistic Banana in this thread. www.fotango.com is OK to use as a server once you have registered.

I tried to force a link to my profile pic (actually HarryW's idea) but the address (URL) to profile pictures keeps changing.

Keep trying, you'll get there !!

Italian Red eh, I'll look into it.
