S2 master cylinder needed!

Hi guys,

Anyone point me in the direction of where to find these on eBay? I know tvr car parts does them but looking for a cheaper option.

If anyone can tell me what model and car they're originally off I'd be very grateful

Hi Karl, hope you're well.

Mine went some years back, I seem to remember there were two, Girling or Lockhead. We changed both on mine, but one of the cylinder cases was a tiny bit out. we ended up taking the new piston out and putting it in the old case.

I've been told they were off a Saab and just wondered what year and model it was? Or alternatively is there a recon kit I can buy somewhere?

Under Brakes:~
Master cylinder service kit part number PFS901705 (approx £10)
www.partsforsaabs.com

Check that the servo is OK underneath. If not finding a replacement will be like looking for original indicator lenses if not worse.

Extensive research work was done by Richard Jarvis a while back see FAQ's here

I replaced mine with a Fiesta Xr2i servo +M/c

As yours is an S2 it probably is a Saab. Later cars had ford bits.

Hi tim,

Thanks for response. I'm posting and looking at stuff off my mobile so have limited access to most stuff like the helpful links etc. Really appreciate the advice hopefully I'll have some form of replacement by weekend and my mot re-test will pass with flying colours.
