'Braking' problem

Well I have found put today that Ford have stopped production of the brake servo fitted to the later V6s and V8s.
So no new stock in the future, can I suggest that an approach to your local Ford dealer might be a good idea in case they have local stock.
Otherwise its good old flea baty and second hand bits!!!!!!!!!!!!

Although Ford have stopped manufacture I suspect that there are plenty of second line manufacturers given that the servo was fitted to so many vehicles. For example eurocarparts do one made by Lucas (albeit it is very very expensive)

Oddly enough, I found out exactly the same thing today at my local dealer - he said the dealers don't carry stock, they had to order them in from Ford - and this time, Ford said they had discontinued supply about 2 weeks ago. So I think you would be very lucky to find a dealer with one in stock.

I've done a bit of looking and there seem to be plenty about but the prices have doubled since I was looking for one 12 months or so ago.The cheapest I could find was now £300+vat
