Just got off the phone to the under-writers and they have given the go-ahead to repair my S3 . I've been without it for nearly 3 weeks already and the repairs may take another 6 weeks . At least it will give me time to save for a complete respray. You don't realise how much these cars mean to you until you have to go without for any length of time. Looking forward to getting her back and then it will be again.

Wonderful. Common sense from an insurer.

I know exactly how you feel. I've used mine daily for over four years but its been out of action since early June, and I really miss her, but I get it back next week with a new 4.1 V8 engine

Good news.. Had a similar incident myself about 6 weeks ago; driver infrotn of me swerves across the road without indicting and I went into her side as she was pulling into her drive. They've approaved the repairs on my car, but the insurers are currently fighting out responsibility..

Me too!

T'was far too close for comfort.

Young woman in front slams her Corsa into reverse and drives backwards way too fast so that she can turn right into the turning she missed, stops half inch from the front of the S.

I almost filled my trousers!

Exactly the same problem, looks like I'll have to stump up for my excess and try (cat in hells chance) and claim it back!

Same here.. Bloody annoying when you are driving along, minding your own business and some muppet decides to take out the front end of your P&J..

To think, I actually sat the girl down, calmed her down and was generally a nice guy as she was so upset..
