V6 Air Flow Meters

It's looking like the air flow meters on my S2 have seen better days. It's ruuning quite rich and it's a bit lumpy on tickover, other than that it's fine throughout the rev range.

Does anyone know of a company that can refurbish Ford V6 AFMs or can do exchange?

All assistance much appreciated.

Are the AFM gaskets readily available? or is it easier to make your own?

That's what I was thinking, air filter one side and two hoses on t'other ?

Do you mean throttle body to plenum gasket? If no longer available from Ford www.gasketsforclassics.co.uk are very helpful.

When I stripped mine back there were a gasket on each AFM butting up the the filter plate.

Makes sense, would stop any air bleeding in past the filter but none on mine. That's not to say there wasn't originally

None on mine either, hence the question... you'll need to ensure a cornflake packet gasket is a good fit as you dont want it oversize then breaking down and getting sucked into the inlet and clogging the AFM sensors... I think I would be tempted to just put a film of silicon on the joint, give it a good wipe to ensure theres no excess that could be sucked in... ?
