Can someone with a V6 give me, in inches, from the top of the cap to their coolant level.

I can't check mine as the car is still at the garage, see my thread "Trevor coming home"!

But from memory, the swirl pot is always full and fed by the water in the header tank which is usually also half full.

my old one would always settle about 5 inches from the top, regardless of whether it was topped to the brim it would also adjust to that level.

In my experience... Each car differs, and it finds its own level...

Whether you have the cap on the Exp tank or the Swirl pot (done to death thread) the excess coolant would probably have been blown out of the overflow...

Theres too many variables IMHO to have a set level, how you drive, how efficient the cooling is, level of antifreeze etc, ambient temp, traffic.... to name a few...

Mine is about 3-4 inches from the top..
