Car passed its re-mot back on the 10th, got the Vehicle Identity Check done on the 12th and, much sooner than I dared hope, Re-issued V5 (logbook to us old'uns) arrived in the post today.

Just need a bit of road tax now (ran out while being repaired) and Jan 1st me and my S will be back on the road driving

Great news Mike. I remember S club 2010 starting you guys off for the 1/4 mile timed runs down the runway, and was very impressed with your car. I dont know if it was one of the quickest or not, but it certainly looked and sounded the part, smokin even at the end of the session, when some of the other cars were having problems overheating and such, your car was still going strong. Thats a big clap to you, as i know you do most of the work on your car yourself.

Well done on getting it back together so quickly.

I know how hard it can be to complete a 'project' like that let alone manage to sort the paper work required as well.

Should make Christmas all the more enjoyable knowing you should have an early new year drive to look forward to.

Thanks for all your support chaps, and particularly Simon (SJS357) for the bonnet and Norman for coming up with all the suspension parts I needed (and at a very fair price).

Just the small matter of paintwork to sort out now...........
