Yep, that was me!! I was in the middle lane. Saw a fast advancing Rover that looked like yours. I was on my way up to Bolton to see the gf.

I used to see a Cerbie on my way to work at Sittingbourne but I don't think he was an enthusiast like us, he never waved or flashed even though I did a couple of times. Perhaps I was in the VW??

No I was most certainly in the Tiv!

There are a couple of local Griff's who always wave and flash or toot.

But still no S's.

I know Pies is near me in Canterbury but I've yet to see him.

Mine's with me today, looking lovely in the sunshine after a wash at the weekend.

I went into Margate at the weekend and my car was spotted by my neighbour who said he saw a lovely Tiv then realised it was mine. I think it was a compliment!

He also almost bought a 1991 S3 last summer from a local dealer. I checked it over for him and it was a nice car but the dealer wasn't specific on price, it appeared that he was trying to get as much as possible depending on how much money you looked like you had. My neighbour was told £7k which dropped to £6k by the end of the summer then it disappeared so I guess it sold.

There's a J reg V8S BRG in Newcastle, but I've never seen the owner. Been waved at by a Black Tuscan, that's about it.

The car's a bit dirty after being caught in the rain yesterday.

WHAT!

You didn't clean it as soon as you got home .....shame on you Chris!

On a different note, I must apologise mate as I should have sent you e-mail. I decided to fit my red/smoke rear lights as they went better with my red high level brake light. I do have a set of clear smoke available now but they're a bit expensive as they are new and cost me £180 so I'm looking to get £60 for them.

If I don't sell I'll tint the stop/tail and fog bits red and keep as spares.

I went to Manchester to see the better half, and got home @ around 1am. Very tired and no light made it impossible to clean.

Where's your dedication to the marque?

I must admit that I've been outside with a bucket & sponge in the dark, I've also been washing the other car with the water turnin to ice on the roof, I must be nuts

Chris,

Whenever you are next down to see your parents in Folkestone, would you like to meet up for a swift non-alcoholic pint?

Yep, been there done that. I would have given it a quick once over if i hadn't been to PF and up since 5am. Almost fell asleep at the whell so I had to pull over and have a sleep in the car park. The benifits of being short is that you can stretch out in the car.

No problem, next time I'm down South is around the 30th of July for a new exhaust (fingers crossed) and MOT so if all goes to plan I should be able to nip down that way. It's a good drive through kent, really nice roads.

Do you know New Romney, near Ashford?

Also YHM.

That sounds good to me, New Romney is a nice run out for me.

I must say that I'm impressed at how much and far you travel in your S.

You have mail too!

Cheers,
K

Excellent! I can take a nice run down in the S assuming it passes the MOT, even thenn, I'll still have a month or so left on it. The S handles the distances nicely, did Newcastle to London, London to Stratford Upon Avon, Stratfor Upon Avon to Manchester, then Manchester to Newcastle all between Thursday and Sunday. Car went very well. Do fancy a new engine though.

I did see the Porsche go past, and I was going to catch up, but looked at my fuel and thought better of it. Did a lot of driving this weekend and it was taking a toll on my bank balance. Also had to get to Newcastle. Maybe next time.
