Replacement of V8S Dashboard Gauges begins !

Decided finally to treat the v8s to a new set of gauges, today i received a eagerly awaited delivery from demon tweeks, contains 7 brand new stack gauges.
Tomorrow is d day as leaving the car to have the old ones removed and new ones fitted
They are all made by stack they are all led lit so im hoping night time will look nice rather than the normal dim tvr look, they all come with senders if needed or are easily calibrated to standard senders.
I will update this thread with details and photos of the process and end result

No just me being anal really, they all work fine in tvr termsdidnt like the misting up of the dials ( usual tvr )
didnt like the engine temp from running to red with no indication of actual temp ( usual tvr )
didnt like the dim light look at night ( usual tvr )
didnt like the speedo not working for the first 5 min of any trip ( usual tvr )
Plus i will sell the old ones on to get some money back on these

Its a v8s so the dials are in row quite low down in the centre console so should be ok my god was it cold this morning drive there with a jacket/ scarf/ wooly hat/ and a blanket over me lol

Are these gauranteed not too? For all their faults I rather like my "upside down" speedo and tacho and the fact they are labelled TVR

If everyone likes the same thing in life it would be very boring, fingers crossed i will like my new gauges once all wired in and fitted
At one point I was toying with the idea of fitting some duel gauges for oil pressure/temp, fuel pressure/temp, transmission temps and so on. In the end I never bit the bullet, but they're nice gauges. They probably will mist up, though. All these style of gauges are unsealed to allow for thermal expansion, and they inevitably draw in damp air which then condenses on the coldest point as the car cools - which is always the glass. Unless you get sealed gauges, you just have to get used to it.

I got them from a company in the US called Speedhut, they have offers from time to time and they came in at about 425 US and £80 duty inc 1 extra gauge (clock), I got all the sensors and spedo hall sensor.You customise the gauges on a template, it shows you as you change things how they will look day and night.

Update:
Well today the veneer was taken off ( just ) been told was easy apart from the fact it was wedged in so a couple of small marks on the outside so im going to inspect tomorrow and maby get a new veneer fitted
then onto the middle 4 gauge center console removed just to find they can only be changed with a complete dash out which is a right bummer and silly too but i now suspect tvr make the dash up then fit in one hit

Well after a few extra weeks delay in limbo the gauges are finally all in all wired up and all working.
What a mission it was too ! much more work than i thought but the results are well worth the wait blood sweat and tears.
Will be taking some nice day and night photos and getting them up soon
