I'm just shopping around and the cheapest quote so far is £510 with just 3,000 miles a year, garaged and S, D & P use only not including to/from work!

This didn't include any car during repairs, no windscreen or audio cover either and there was a £350 excess.

I'm 35, full NCB, car is garaged and I have had just one no fault claim in 5 years in my other car, oh yes and I use another car with full NCB too.

Surely there must be better out there?

Has anyone had a good quote recently?

Try Jardine Faber (01604 639011) ..approx £390 for 4000 miles, just added another 2k for £70.. and a named driver for long weekend £11.

I am 34 with D&D, garaged, excess£200, no points, second car....

Worth ago, I reckon it would be around £200 without the D&D

Id say my £2000 was good, considering I was declined insurance by the first 107 companies (including broker searches) that I tried

Right, I dont know if it will be much help, but call 0800 197 1347. Its Budget, and the'll do their broker thing searching 97 different insurance companies, so worth a shot Id say. And from what I gather Sunninghill and Tesco seem to pop up on every tiv related insurance thread so them too.

Not that 34 is old of course, not at all, I'm a year older than this myself and althought I am feeling my age a bit I still don't think I'm over the hill.

So Mike, what made you buy a TVR at post 30? .......

I first ordered a TVR S2 back in 1989, but cancelled due to family pressure (I was 19) so I have always liked TVR's. The reason I bought a TVR this time, is due to the birth of our first child, I had a 2002 Boxster and 2002 Mini Cooper which are not really family car material!!! After selling the Mini to buy the Jag we needed a cheaper option for my open top thrills as I didnt fancy having a £43K car sitting in the garage most of the time. So bought a TVR and am very happy I did.

Mike,

I was just pulling your leg mate!

As I said a couple of weeks back to ukbob (I think) ....damn my memories going!

The S has a universal appeal. I've had some nice BMW's and other interesting machines in the past and the best by far is the TVR. Not the most reliable or well finished but certainly the most fun.
