how much carpet in the S??

Does anyone know how many Square metres of carpet you need to get an S retrimmed. Want to make sure I have enough before I get a quote to get it done.

I bought mine from Woolies and it came in a 1.4mtr wide roll. I used about 10mtrs IIRC.

I agree with Andy.

I bought 7 Mtrs from Woolies as I thought this would be plently. I had to go back for another three which was just enough.

If you are planning to do it yourself I would advise to be very careful around the rear arches. Once the stitching is undone it is not clear how it all fitted together. Other than this the job is relatively straight forward.

Have fun with the glue when you are doing the footwells. I found that these areas took ages because poking your head in the footwell full of glue fumes made for some intersting times.

Now I see the fascination with glue sniffing!!! But what a headache....

I have about 11 - 12 square metres ..... hope it will be enough..... planning to get it done at a car trimmers...

Just finished mine, I used 8 sq Metres with little bits left over.

just been quoted £400 to recarpet with me supplying the carpet..... the guy has done TVR's before so he knows it is a bitch of a job as well...... ie all the old stuck in ...... roof off...etc...

sounded reasonable to me....
