My brakes (S3) seem in good condition, pads and discs etc all fine. The brakes work, but the pedal pressure required is 'firm' and the initial bite is not as I would like it. Any way to improve this? While I am at it, is there any wisdom on steering being heavy? Can it be improved?

Change the brake hoses to braided ones... gives a lot more feel.. may also be worth changing the fluid as well.

fluid change should help also check seals for signs of wear ,type of pads will also effect brake feel ie green stuff take a while to warm up and get to optimal levels ,

as regards heavy steering ,tyre pressures but with no power steering you won't improve much .

i find driving fast makes the steering light
