My S2

I have already started the story on this link http://snapshift.beronworth.com/forum.html (the link doesnt seem to work but click on work in progress and then my new toy) but will keep updated on how it's going. Finally got it started today and just need to do a body lift now and weld up a few bits :-)

If it has a 2.8, it's an S1.

There are some early S2's (built later than your car) with the S1-spec body (no chrome on bumpers, original wheels, no electric windows), but these have the 2.9 engine. They are sometimes referred to as "S1.5"

Thanks for the info I was unsure about this but had been told it was an S2 so went along with it. I managed to get it started last night which was good now just need to move it accross to the garage, lift it up, weld it and do a few more bits.

I am in the Reigate/redhill area in Surrey. I have seen some other posts on where a outs all the bolts are to take the body off but I'm sure I'll get lost at some points! Or lots!
