Behave yourself
Interested to see what it does though
. Mind you would have to be methodical i.e. a RR power run bench mark, then fitted as quick as possible then another power run, hopefully within the hour. Let us know.....................Then again I won't be holding my breath

For the sake of only £120 it is worth a try, I didnt fancy spending lots of money on modifications only to find it doesnt work
thought I would try to cheaper option first

How's it going with this Mike?
Cheers,
Kevin
It works well, car feels like its breathing better but is running a little lean at the mo, will be better once it gets remapped on the rolling road! Will let you know once its done.
Mike
That's good news and if there are any photos to post they'd be interesting to see too.

This wil be interesting, can you easily remove the fan/supercharger thingy to do a back to back comparasom
. When are you getting it checked out and where
. Harry
Not particulary bothered, just curious though. Most V8S's seem to be nearer the 'numbers on the tin' than the equivient grifmera's thats all. I've now hit the point where I'm past caring now as to go any further would need major, major money and a 'racing' spec 4ltr to be honest.
To that end a cerb is looking rather attractive, not this year but perhaps next

Not sure what happened to Mikes post maybe it got lost in the system upgrade
Mike what the guy said about rollers etc is correct
Mike YHM
Yeah not sure what happened to my earlier post, must have got lost!! After speaking to the guy who did the rolling road I was quite happy with the bhp figures, the torque curve was very flat right accross the range, but the figure did seem low! But it did sound great, one of the guys mentioned how good it sounded in "General gassing" it was pretty loud in there with the blowers on! There was an Audi S2 before me and you couldnt hear his engine above the blower noise, but not mine
I wont get your mail til tomorrow Colin, will reply then and when I go to Austec maybe we could meet up there!
Cheers
Mike
Ditto don't know what happened to your last post Mike (theres a tune in there somewhere
). However I did read it but couldn't reply as PH central was down.
Re the figures, yes the ones you quoted do seem normal although precats do tend to be at the top end of 4ltr figures across the board and V8S's at the top of that IMHE.
At the end of the day its what it goes/drives/sounds like and are you happy with it. BTW do youy have the 'improved Y piece fitted as that IMHO improves the sound a tad more
.
I'm sure when you see Paul/Mark at Austec they'll be able to make some improvements, but not necessarily in absolute figures.

Yeah not concerned that much about figures, its all pub talk anyway, it does go very well compared to others (possibly not yours with all your tweaks
) and sounds great but will run better when its chipped. Yes I have the new Y piece same as Pies, I was behind Colin in the S meet hoon and kept thinking to myself, I hope mine sounds that good to other peoiple as his car sounded fantastic! Look forward to putting a face to the name when I move back down south, which meet do you go to?
Mike
How did you get on with this in the end Mike? I guess you know my views on them but I'm interested to find what difference it makes in practice.
Have you managed to get any before/after power figures? If not, a simple test that you can run without messing around with the chip is to tee in a vac/boost gauge in to the vac line from the plenum to the fuel pressure regulator. If the supercharger is effective you will see a higher pressure in the manifold on boost. This would also show you how the boost varies with revs (for example if the blower runs out of puff it might only produce boost at low revs and act as a restriction at higher revs).
