The previous owners of my car had scratched the plastic outer plate of the ashtrays quite badly...(I don't know how)

I have done a search on what car they came from to no avail....

But having taken them out, I am now looking into the possibility of replacing the plastic outer plate with a new annodised aluminium one....With the TVR logo engraved into it...

2 Things....

1. What car do the trays come from...?

2. Where can I get a TVR logo from..?
(one which an engraver could use)

I will look at the costs involved and keep you all updated.

I will make drawings and spec details if maybe Leven or LeeBee want to copy them...?

To use the TVR logo, you have to get permission from the factory.. And they're surprisingly quick at dishing out legal documents...

Interesting point - also.....

Bloody ridiculous things in the first place - every passenger tries to use them to open the door! I was also considering using the driver's one for an electric mirror control plate, should I ever get around to changing my 'bunny ears'

Dave, so not just me then, I have been thinking of how to make the ashtrays look better for some time! I asked the trimmer to take them out and trim over the hole and the Muppet forgot!!! I would just be interested in the Alunimium plates for them without engraving but I do know a company that could do it if you need it. I have just spoken to Russell of the Laser Company (08454502522) and he said they could laser engrave the TVR logo for between £5-7 if we could order 10 pairs!

This is the sort of Engraved TVR logo they do, its good quality!

Let me know if you can get the plates I would definitely be interested, preferably to cover the middle part of the ashtray or take them out all together and cover the hole!

This company have a license to do the TVR Logo so no worries from TVR!

Cheers

Mike

I was wondering how my Tax disc has the TVR logo on 'without permission'...

Or do they have it from the factory..?

I've just started modelling the form on CAD so I can get some quotes done....

Dont know how the permission works, but they openly advertise the TVR logo so it must be OK!

What are you looking to do, a face plate for the ashtrays or a cover for the hole?

A Faceplate for the trays...(easier)

The outer cover comes off very easily, they have a plastic rivet like feature to hold them on, a quick file and they are off.

New ones can be glued os D/Sided on...

Maybe LeeBee could make up some aluminium cup holders to fit the holes?
