Indicator Bulb Holder
Discussion
[Grovel Mode On]
Any one got a spare ??
Mine popped out and has been trailing on the ground, it now resembles a plastic disc with 1 1/2 wires attached.
I' ve tried the place in Lancs that supplies Indicator lenses but as they do not know the bulb holder part number they cannot source them.

I remembered!
The part number for the bulb holder is 1626102 available from Leyland Daf Vans (LDV). It requires an O-ring to make it fit. You will need an O-ring that is just large enough to allow the bulb holder to be inserted into the lens, it can then be turned and locked tight. Mine is a tight fit
and required an imperial O-ring (I can measure it if you require), but a motorfactors should be able to sort you out. The bulb holder has different connectors, so two small spade connectors are required to fit over the pins. Standard small connectors work well if you enlarge them slightly with a small screw driver. I found that the rubber boot from the old bulb holder fitted over the new one and continued to provide water resistance.
By the way, the holder is £2.32 + VAT, and a new lens #BAU2249 is £11.55.
The LDV guy was very helpful and said that NOS parts may still exist. If anyone tracks these down perhaps they should buy up the lot to keep for other S’s.
