Hi, I've bought a new clutch slave cylinder(Land rover) and need a new male union, it appears to be UNF? It has a 3/16" internal bore and outer thread is approximately 12mm. I've tried a metric one, but the thread is too fine(1mm)
Can anyone help?
Thanks, David

Hi,

There are numerous threads on this, try looking at page 15,16 or 17 in the forum and there are numerous links....if you get stuck I'll find the one and post it to you, but have a look first.

Regards,

Chris

I replaced mine last winter. See this thread for details.

It's 7/16" UNF I've got a few fittings at home which I bought for the new pipe I put on mine. If you can't one the part to fit let me know and I'll try and find the bits to send you one.

ETA: Ok having read you post again i'm confused as my master was 3/8" and my slave was 7/16". Don't think there was a 3/16" anywhere! They are UNF though.

The internal bore on the union is 3/16 brake pipe. I've tried all the motor factors and Rimmer bros.

Oh I understand now. So you need a 7/16" UNF fitting for 3/16" pipe. It took me ages to find the part when I changed my clutch cylinders over too. I finally found them on eBay, have a look HERE that should be what you need.
