Oops! Broken the mounting of bonnet catch
Discussion
Not me... someone else, seems they thought that shutting the bonnet down took about a tonne of force. The result being that the mount to which the sprung male part of the bonnet catch on the drivers side has snapped off, (the bit where the bonnet stay fixes).
I searched previous posts but couldn't find anything conclusive about how best to repair something like this. Has anyone had to do a repair like this before? Is a part available? Any suggestions for a better bonnet catch?

Try Andy at TVR-Power in Coventry helpful guy and direct from the factory.
Regarding the Targa panel catches are you going to be at the S meet in Aug?
Mike
Sorry to be so vague, I cant remember what the catch, the hatch or the latch looks like
but my offside was popping open just before I bought the car, and the owner bolted in a half inch wide plate, running from the front of the car bolted down, bent into the catch area, down into the lil hole-bit. The The result is a sturdier fix, and the bonet doesnt pop open when the car takes potholes. I would take a pic but the car is at the garage...
