Hi LeeBee,

I know you're the man to talk to on the topic of these S hinges.

My driver side door has freeplay, not much but enough for the door to rub a little on the stainless sill kick plates. I think the captive threaded mounts in the fibreglass turn (according to my local garage), so the door cannot be adjusted or tightened any further to reduce the freeplay.

The passenger side is fine (not dropped or rubbing) but the doors does creak a little when opened and I notice it doesn't open as wide as the driver side.

Is there a substitute for these hinges that will prevent this from happening again?

If so, how much would it cost for you to do this to mine?

Cheers,
Kevin

Tim, can you please also let me know if anyone lets you know whether there is another mode of contact?

Cheers,
Kevin

Hi guys
sorry been a bit busy lately (well still am, sorting out some bits for a certain red V8S at the moment and have 2 cars on the drive to sort!)

Door bushes can and usually are a nightmare, I have come up with a solution though which involves replacing all the parts with uprated materials and a new stainless steel and brass bobbin if the problem is severe!

Drop me an email and I will get back to you

Cheers

LeeBee do you think its realistic that I will get them before the 15th? Not a big deal would just be nice to have them on for the meet, to show those that want some what they look like! Is anyone going to be at the meet who has your dials?

Cheers mate
