little springs
Discussion
Hi All,
Would really like some help in sourcing some springs for my 1990 S2 2.9 - my local auto-factor is usually pretty good but has drawn a blank and suggested looking in scrap yards - would rather get new if at all possible.
Left - throttle butterfly springs
right - Boot catch - (looks to be the same as the bonnet - the end on mine has snapped opening the boot with every bump in the road)
thanks :-)

This might fit ?
Seller might be good enough to measure it for you?
Not new but are these any good to you? Are yours broken?

Ironically I live in Redditch, home of spring and needle manufacturing in the "good old days"

The Bonnet Striker Pin Spring looks like the perfect replacement - ordered it but will feedback if it fits.
The two pictured butterfly springs I took from a scrap Scorpio - they are in serviceable condition but I reasoned that a perishable part for an engine produced in the numbers of the 2.9 cologne - someone would make an alternative.
So thanks for the offer of your springs - much appreciated - but I think I will fit the ones I have if no new alternatives are available.

Have a look on rimmer brothers website at V8 injection bits - pretty sure they do a V8 throttle return spring that is very similar to the V6.
