MOT FAILURE! A sad day.

I have finally lost the battle with rust, and the chassis structure that runs down the inside of the sill (I think its called the outrigger) needs replacing.
Does anyone know someone in the North London area that can sort this for me?
Does the body need to come off completely or can it be done with a partial lift?

Partial lift should be sufficient, there are garages that will do it without any lifting (cutting tubes, welding from inside etc.)but not ideal imho.

Do a full lift, honestly, you'll find rust in places you didn't realise. If a job's worth doing, it's worth doing properly!

They did a partial lift and repair on mine a couple of years ago. Very neat job. Speak to Martin or Skippy. I’m in WD4 if you want to have a look.

The full body off advice is sound though, if you have the budget. There’s plenty of help and advice on here is you decide to go down that road.

I had one corner cut off, body in place, replaced section all for £200.

Thanks for the advice guys, I will take it off the road for a while, til I have time to take the body off. And sort out someone to weld it all up for me.
